The assignment was to create the Local Wiki article for the historic building. I created the whole page from scratch.

Why I chose this building?

People often met this building on the way when walking in the center of Tucson. The building is set among high-rises and stands out steadily on Broadway Street. Local Wiki entries lacked Brown's home or related information, such as Congress Hall, Charles O. Brown, or the Old Pueblo patio. Charles Brown is one of the notable people of his time and did a lot to develop the city of Tucson.

What challenges did I have?

Writing articles on online platforms like local Wiki requires a distinct style that matches the existing articles on the website and avoids subjective opinions. The information should be clear, accessible, and plain to cater to diverse viewers. Maintaining accurate information is crucial, as a distorted understanding can decrease community interest.

Online source verification is more complex, and it is essential to isolate valuable information from irrelevant content. Review articles should rely on various comprehensive and constructive sources for thorough research.

What were my successful outcomes?

Since the articles are written by non-professionals but by ordinary community residents, it unites people in learning the history of their city. Such articles can be tips for audiences to start social activities exchanging historical information. Along with this, the resident knows more about the city and state. Furthermore, a usual walk around the city becomes complete knowledge of what is happening anywhere.

Collecting materials, analyzing them, and turning them into structured and understandable text is critical in an academic and work environment. Systematization of a significant layer of information into a text with key ideas undoubtedly helped understand the course of digital history and its presentation.
